Naiara Ijurko, piano
Naiara Ijurko Risco (Navarra, Spain) started her musical studies in the conservatoire “Pablo Sarasate” in Pamplona, where she was a student of Jan Maarten Van de Mark. In March of 2003 she won the third prize in the international competition “Ciudad de San Sebastián” (Spain). In April of the same year she claimed the first prize in the National piano competition of Cantabria (Spain). She finished her Bachelor studies in “Musikene, Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco” with Emmanuel Ferrer Laloe as Piano teacher, focusing also in contemporary repertoire with Ricardo Descalzo. In 2011 the Government of Navarra awarded her with a full scholarship to continue her piano and harpsichord studies with Paul Komen and Johan Hofmann at the Prins Claus Conservatorium, Groningen, The Netherlands. In 2017 she finished her master degree, specialized in piano accompaniment, with Jeroen Riemsdijk at the Maastricht academy of music. As a member of the Contemporary Music Ensemble of the Balearic Islands, she performed in several venues in Spain, including the “National Auditorium” in Madrid, “Teatro Principal” in Palma de Mallorca, among others. She has taken masterclasses with, Jean-Marie Juan, Matthjs Verschoor, David Kuijken, Marcel Baudet, Luisa Espigolé, Jean Pierre Collot, László Baranyay etc. She has performed several concerts with the harpsichord as a soloist and also as a member of the orchestra from the Conservatory “Francisco Escudero” in San Sebastián, Spain. |
